Whew! This summer is just moving along so fast! Our last blog entry was made just about the time that youngsters were spending their last few days of the school year in session. Now it’s getting close to when they return to classes. Where on earth does the time go?!
The same can be said about what has become an incredible and fun tradition around here – the Doylestown Arts Festival in September. Every year it grows and gets better. And this year it’s celebrating its silver anniversary. Talk about how time flies!
To commemorate its significance as a 25-year mainstay for the town and participating vendors and merchants, there’ll be a kickoff party the Thursday before the festival – Sept. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m. – in the rotunda of Bucks County Courthouse. Admission will be by ticket only, and those are limited. The deadline for purchase is Aug. 31. All proceeds will benefit the festival – to be held Sept. 10 and 11 this year – and the parent organization, Discover Doylestown. Make sure to visit the website for more particulars.
Check back with us in a little bit for more info about the Doylestown Arts Festival as well as the Thompson Bucks County Classic, a thrilling pro-cycle race on Sunday of that weekend. We still have some rooms available that weekend. Our website let’s you book online, or feel free to give us a call and we’ll gladly make reservations for you.
